H.E. Saif Saeed Bin Saed Al Suwaidi:  Chairman

H.E. Saif Saeed Bin Saed Al Suwaidi, after his University Education in Kuwait, Diplomatic Course in Abu Dhabi, English Language Course in United Kingdom (UK), and the noble profession of Teaching in the Ministry of Education joined Diplomatic and Consular Service as a Third Secretary in February 1, 1972.  Since then he has been in the Foreign Service.

  • UAE’s Acting Ambassador to Cairo, Egypt.
  • Represented UAE at the UNESCO Office in Cairo as Representative of the Ministry of Education.
  • Acting Permanent Delegate to the Arab State League
  • Headed the Committee for discussing the draft Law for the Diplomatic and Counselor body with Ministerial Committee for Legislations
  • UAE Ambassador to Yemen.
  • Under-Secretary   of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from in 1999.
  • Advisor   to   the Minister of Foreign   Affairs when H.H Shekih Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahayan was the Foreign Minister.

H.E. Saif Saeed Bin Saed Al Suwaidi, a veteran diplomat who spends 38 years of his career representing the Country in International and Regional Organizations called on every citizen, regardless of position and Nationality to communicate with the Members of the Consultative Council or directly with the General Secretariat of the Council by either filing complaints or offering suggestions. The establishment of such a Council by   His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, reflects the Ruler’s keenness in promoting the value of consultation known in Arabic as Shura.

The Council held 138 sessions since its establishment during which the policies and performances of every Governmental Institutions in Sharjah was scrutinized and reviewed by the Members.

H.E. Saif  Saeed Bin Saed Al Suwaidi is also a father of three, having two Boys and one Girl. Mr. Faris, his eldest son, speaks and writes in Five Languages.  He is currently preparing his Doctorate in an Elite University in USA.  The other two children occupy prominent positions in the Institutions they study and work with.

Ahmed Koya, an Economics graduate, has written his impressive career path in the Gulf for almost 4 decades now. Mr. Koya came to the Gulf in 1973 when the challenges were many and translated them into opportunities that defined his destiny. His language proficiencies in English, Arabic, Hindi, Persian and Malayalam coupled with his extrovert, friendly persona has earned him a position of stature and cordial relations with the local and expatriate Population.

Ahamed Koya’s  remarkable career path begins with his long standing experience with Grand Stores – the region’s premiere retail store and luxury goods agent, where he was credited with setting all the Grand Stores showrooms in the UAE and running it’s retail business till 2005.
He developed retail companies by improving their profile and portfolio, Implemented business strategies and enabled companies excel and utilized inherent talents/skills as a leader and not a follower in achieving business goals. Before joining Grand Stores in 1981,Mr Koya was with
Salam Studio&Stores as he started his career since 1973.

His business acumen was felt in all areas of growth in Grand Stores from setting up stores to sales and marketing to acquisition of noteworthy agencies in diverse areas by travelling all around the world. The plethora of brands handled under his administrative and financial acumen is a marketer’s delight and pride.

Mr. Koya introduced Skechers, a premium brand in shoes, in the U.A.E, GCC, MENA Region, India and South East Asia.

Mr. Koya is also credited to negotiating and bringing Safeway Inc. which is a premium brand of Hypermarkets from the USA and establishing its first anchor store in Dubai with 24 hour service in mid 1980’s.

Ahamed Koya is the winner of Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, leader of the ISO certification team, leader of team winning the Dubai Quality Award. He led the ‘TQM Team’ to acquire for Grand Stores all the Quality Awards in UAE, namely: Dubai Quality Appreciation Program Award [Dubai]; Sh. Khalifa Excellence Award [Abu Dhabi]; Sharjah Economic Excellence Award [Sharjah]. He is an active member of the Indian Economic Forum and Indian Business and Professional Group, U.A.E chapter.
